Opening note: DeeDee’s is due to launch in phases. The upstairs Den is expected to open first on 12 September, with the basement Dive following afterwards. Check the venue’s social channels before making a special trip, as opening details can change during the final fit-out.
What is DeeDee’s Den & Dive?
DeeDee’s Den & Dive is a new American-inspired bar and live music venue from Pub Invest Group, the Liverpool hospitality operator behind Diego’s Demise on Wood Street.
The new venue is being positioned as a sister concept to Diego’s, but with more emphasis on country, classic rock, rock ’n’ roll and singalong music.
Plans announced ahead of opening include live performances, a free jukebox, flavoured whiskies and late-night American-style food.
The venue will use two floors, although both are not expected to open at the same time.
The Den and the Dive
The upstairs section, called the Den, is due to open first on 12 September.
Food announced for this part of the venue includes American pancakes and bacon butties, alongside the drinks and music offer.
The basement Dive forms the second stage of the launch and is expected to follow afterwards. A firm public opening date for the basement has not yet been confirmed.
That phased opening is useful to know if you are planning to visit during the first few weeks, as the complete two-floor venue may not initially be available.
Music at DeeDee’s
Music is planned as a central part of DeeDee’s rather than simply background entertainment.
The announced mix includes:
- country
- classic rock
- rock ’n’ roll
- singalong tracks
- live performances
- a free jukebox
Ahead of opening, the DeeDee’s team was also looking for local solo performers, duos and trios.
That could give the venue another role beyond being a late-night bar, particularly if regular live music nights are established after launch.
A full programme of performers and recurring events had not been published when this listing was updated.
Food and drink
One of the more unusual parts of the concept is its focus on flavoured whiskies.
A complete whisky and drinks list has not yet been published, so prices and individual flavours should be checked once the venue opens.
Food announced for the upstairs Den includes:
- American pancakes
- bacon butties
- late-night American-style food
A full menu, serving times and dietary information have not yet been confirmed publicly.
We will update this listing once those details can be checked directly.
Where is DeeDee’s?
There is a slightly confusing detail around the address.
Some launch coverage describes DeeDee’s as being on Wood Street, which makes sense geographically and because of its connection with Diego’s Demise.
However, DeeDee’s is taking over part of the Black Rabbit Shot Co premises. Black Rabbit lists its official address as:
39-41 Fleet Street Liverpool L1 4AR
Fleet Street runs directly behind Wood Street in Ropewalks, which helps explain why both street names have appeared in coverage of the opening.
If DeeDee’s publishes a separate entrance number or postal address after opening, we will update this page.
Who is behind DeeDee’s?
The venue is being opened by Pub Invest Group, which operates more than 40 hospitality sites across Liverpool.
The group is also behind Diego’s Demise, located at 18-22 Wood Street.
Diego’s combines rock-focused music, live entertainment, food and late-night opening. DeeDee’s takes parts of that music-led format but is being developed as a separate venue with more country, rock ’n’ roll and American influences.
What is confirmed so far?
As of 3 September 2026, the following has been announced:
- opening planned for Saturday 12 September 2026
- two-floor venue
- phased opening
- upstairs Den opening first
- basement Dive following later
- country, classic rock and rock ’n’ roll
- live performers
- free jukebox
- flavoured whiskies
- American pancakes and bacon butties
- plans to feature local solo acts, duos and trios
What is still to be confirmed?
Several practical details should become clearer after opening:
- regular opening hours
- basement Dive opening date
- full food menu
- drinks menu and prices
- accessibility information
- age and entry policy
- booking arrangements
- regular live music schedule
- phone number
- dedicated website
- food hygiene rating
Rather than filling those gaps with temporary or assumed information, we will add them once they can be verified.
DeeDee’s and Ropewalks
DeeDee’s sits within the Ropewalks nightlife area, close to Fleet Street, Wood Street, Seel Street and Concert Square.
Its sister venue Diego’s Demise is a short distance away at 18-22 Wood Street, while DeeDee’s occupies part of the wider Black Rabbit site on Fleet Street.
That puts it in an already concentrated late-night part of Liverpool city centre, but the country, classic rock and live music focus gives the new venue a more specific identity than simply adding another general late bar.
